Scorpions’ head coach Sang Ndong has finally unveiled his provisional 24-man squad to face the Chipolopolo of Zambia in an international friendly tomorrow, Monday, at the Independence Stadium in BAKAU. Kick-off time is 7pm.
The 24-man squad comprises  12 local-based players, four players from Senegal and 8 players outside Africa.
Unveiling the team, Ndong said there could be new inclusions in the final squad to face South Africa on 4th June when other players would have arrive by next week.
He urged the public to come out and support the team. “One of our objectives is to bring the national team back to the public.”

Laady Quincy Fyah

One of the country’s hottest female dancehall artistes, Laady Quincy Fyah has recently produced a soundtrack and a video titled, “Happy Birthday Mr. President”, for the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya A.J.J Jammeh Babili Mansa on the occasion of his 51st Birthday.

The new song and video, which express all the works done by the Gambian leader especially his investment into girls’ education, are the latest product from the young female artiste, produced by Stlyz Records Studios.

Laady Quincy, born on the 25th May 1994 shares the same birthday with President Jammeh. “Yes I’m happy to share the same birthday with the President, he is a legend and such makes me see myself as a star to share the same day with him,” she told Observer Light.

The 22-year-old artiste further disclosed that she recorded the soundtrack, made a music video and plans to formerly present it to the Gambian leader.

“I would be pleased if he could receive it because I willingly did it to show my love for him and to express my wishes on such an occasion like his 51st birthday anniversary,” Laady was stated.
