Thursday, October 30, 2008

Bob Powell, a charitable organisation based in the UK yesterday donated medical items to the Royal Victorial Teaching Hospital (RVTH) at a presentation ceremony held at its office in Fajikunda.

The donated items included blood pressure machines, mobilizers for asthma patients, uniforms for nurses, etc.

Presenting the items on behalf of the foundation, Abdou Aziz Colley, the coordinator of the foundation in The Gambia, seized the opportunity to thank the secretary of state for Finance and Economic Affairs for assisting them in bringing the items safely to the country.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), Abdoulie Danso, expressed appreciation for the wonderful gesture. He revealed that this is the second time the hospital has received gifts from the organisation.
