Geneviene Emma Bangura, a 15 year old Sierra Leonean national and a student of Glory Baptist Junior Secondary school is reported missing after three weeks of intense efforts to trace her wearabout.

The 15 year old resident of Fajara A-Section left home since March 1st 2008 and her family is now more concerned about her welfare.

Speaking to Daily Observer in tears, Naasu Kamanda, mother of the missing girl said, since her daughter disappeared some weeks ago, she personally visited Banjul Police Station and and Child Welfare Centre and reported the matter.

According to her, after reporting the matter to the said institutions, they later discovered her friend's cell phone number who is also attending Glory Baptist School. "The friend was arrested for three days and denied ever holding her. After we trace another number given to us by another colleague of her at the same school, but this was an Africell number,' she said.

Mrs Kamanda added the police ordered them to print out the said number with the and called the last caller. She further noted that when they called this number, the cell phone rang but no one picks it up. "After that, a member of our Church at Christ Embassy informed me that she saw her at a birthday party at London Corner.

I visited the place and am currently following the birthday organisers to re-play the video tape recorded during the said programme so that I could see the people she went with" she explained.

Madam Kamanda also stated that she had also received reports that her daughter was seen at Bakau Newtown area and that is the last news she had about her. The family can be contacted for any information on 7833641 or 67113354 or the nearest police station.
