Mam Sait's case deferred

Senior Magistrate Kayode Olajubutu of the Banjul Magistrates' Court yesterday adjourned the false publications criminal case involving Mam Sait Ceesay, former press officer at State House, to the 31th March 2008 for continuation.

The case which supposed to proceed last Monday 24th March, before Senior Magistrate Olajubutu could not make progress due to the fact that Monday was declared a public holiday throughout the country in observance of Easter eve.

The accused person,Mam Sait Ceesay was yesterday present in court and was later informed that the case will be adjourn to the said date.

It could be recalled that Mama Sait Ceesay is facing two counts of false publications and the last sittings showcased evidence received from Mr Alex Dacosta, Senior Communications Officer at the Gambia Utility Regulatory Authority (PURA).
