Ms Ellen, a Dutch philanthropist, recently donated 500 Euros to Rural Poor Association -The Gambia (Gamrupa), based in Siffo village, at a ceremony held at Siffo Health Centre, Kombo South Western Region.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Ms Ellen said she was emphasised with the formation of Gamrupa by the Sifoe people."I will continue with enthusiasm to look for more sponsors to develop Sifoe". She expressed her profound gratitude to the entire villagers for their cooperation. The money would be used to upgrade the health post in the village and to finance the sustainability of the village ambulance when ever the need arise.

Established in June 2007, the association , Gamrupa, was meant to involve every citizen of Siffo in health care issues with a view to unite the people of the area, especially in terms of positive development initiatives.
