The Gambia Football Coaches Association, under the leadership of Sait Matty-Africell head coach, Pa Suwareh Faye, has unveiled its calendar of activities for the year 2008 after a general meeting convened over the weekend at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

The coaches association is set to stage an introduction to coaching schedule between May 23 to May 24 as the first plan of action on the calendar.

The following month, July, will see the coaches convene a special meeting to review both first and second division leagues.

In July 2008, the national football coaches body, in collaboration with The Gambia Football Association, will embark on the training of local coaches.

The last activity on the projected calendar, will be the review of the league and the activities of association, come December 2008.

Pa Suwareh Faye, who was recently reelected to steer the affairs of the association for another term, has called on aspiring football coaches who have not registered with the association, to come forward and do so for the good of the game. He said The Gambia needs trained and experienced coaches for the rapid development of football.
