Banjul inter-schools football tournament climaxes

A football tournament staged between the senior secondary schools in Banjul has reached its final stage. Two top schools - Saint Augustine's Senior Secondary School and J C Faye Upper Basic will square up against each other in the male final scheduled for Friday, April 4 at the Banjul Mini-stadium.

The same day will witness the female final between Garba Jahumpa Upper Basic and Crab Island Upper Basic.

The competition is organised by Jullof Tutor in their quest to develop and promote grass root football in the capital city.

According to the organisers, a giant trophies and sets of jerseys await the winners in both categories, while all other participating schools will bag a consolation prize.

Meanwhile, the city is also preparing to stage another football competition for youngsters who are considered surplus to requirements by the divisional clubs.
