At least, 10 staff of the Kairaba Beach Hotel namely, Suntu Gibba, Mamadou Jallow, Dawda Baldeh, Abdoulie Camara, Malang Bojang, Ebrima Ceesay, Lamin Barrow, Pahali Sarr, Peter Jarjue and Sulayman Cham were on Monday 31st March, 2008 confirmed arrested and detained at Kotu Police Station.

The arrest of the ten staff came following the discovery of a missing amount of about D574,902.00 at Kairaba Back Hotel, Daily Observer sources further hinted.

Our sources also revealed that all the eight alledged staff claimed that it was one Mr Sulyman Cham who requested that they should give him the money, thus warranting to Mr Cham's arrest.

Mean while, sources also revealed that Dawda Baldeh, one of the accussed has travelled out of the country and is not yet back.

At the time of going to press, all the alledged accussed persons were reported to have been granted police bail.

When contacted, the police public relations officer, inspector Sulayman Secka confirmed the story but quickly added that police investigations are still in progress.

Meanwhile, our Managing Director also made efforts to reach the General Manager of Kairaba Beach Hotel for any latest development, but the efforts proof futile.
