Zynab Ayesha Passah, the national organiser and director of the Miss Africa Queen Beauty Pageant is currently on a visit in The Gambia to further prepare the grounds for this unique event slated for September 2008.

Miss Ayesha Passah, who is the CEO of XYZ Agency, the organisers whose dream is to make beauty pageantry a celebration of the true African woman, arrived in The Gambia last Friday. This is the first time the event is slated to be hosted outside Ghana.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Observer, Ayesha Passah expressed delight at the event and for the Gambia which is the smiling coast of Africa hosting this beauty pageant competition.

It could recalled that, the Miss Africa Beauty Pageant began in 2006 when 18 young and beautiful women from different countries in Africa contested in Ghana. There, the Ghanian Monica Mbillah emerged victorious.

In the following event held in 2007, a Ghanian, Miss Mbagina Radebe emerged victorious along side the Gambian Amie Khan as the runner up.
