Observer deputy editor-in-chief leaves for Ghana

Lamin M. Dibba, a deputy editor -in -chief of the Daily Observer in the wee hours of this morning left for Accra, Ghana to attend the official opening of ECOBANK's International Technology and Shared Service Centre.

Mr Dibba will also attend the ECOBANK's 20th Annual General Meeting to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The centre which has adopted best international practice in the design and implementation has partnership and alliance with leading institutions in technology, telecom and shared services will be officially open by President John Agyekum Kufuor of Ghana

In an interview with the Daily Observer, the Observer's deputy editor -in -chief whose trip was entirely sponsored by ECOBANK thanked the bank for the initiative and called on other banks to emulate ECOBANK. " I concord with ECOBANK'S slogan that is "a world class African bank". I elated with what they are doing in the banking industry and I also thanked the management of the Daily Observer for giving me the opportunity to attend these big events" he concluded.
