80 students graduate at Core Comprehensive

Core Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, on Saturday held their graduation ceremony at the Friendship Hotel in Bakau. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Jimoh Musibau the principal of the school,  highlighted an outstanding success the school can boast with from this, he said, Core Comprehensive produces 69% to 71% students in London GCE O Level every year, in the Gambia and some of their student are presently in universities and colleges abroad to further their studies.

In extra-curricular activities, Mr Jimoh outline the vitality of some important clubs in the school which he said would expose children in their endeavours.

Mr Jimsh advised the graduants to be deligent in life and remain discipline as discipline is the bed rock of any laudable achievement in life.  He further told graduants to always pursue-execllence because victory of yesterday is negligible compared to the challenges of today and enlighten them to use their knowledge, wishdom and talent to develop their country and desist themselves from enslaving to the western world.

Mr. Jimoh finally urge parents to collaborate with the school to discipline their children as teachers alone cannot do all and thanked president Jammeh and his government for producing conducive environment in making education accessible to all.

Mr. Emmanual Agim, president of the appeal court of the Gambia, who also double as the the guest speaker of the occasion, stated that it is not easy to with stand the three years course through which, he said, needs devotion and dedication.

Mr. Agim reminded the graduants that they are still students and have just step aside from one end to the other.  He further adviced the graduants to desist from indulging themselves in certain bad practices as they are the feature leader of the country.  

He finally urged parents to take good care of their children and ensure that they engage them in meaningful activities which would avail them posterity.

The ceremony was characterised with drama presentation by school children and certificates were awarded to the graduants.
