2 charged with robbery

One Seedy Jallow and Buba Saidy were yesterday arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court charged with robbery contrary to the laws of The Gambia.

According to the prosecution, the duo, in June this year, at Kanifing Estate, robbed one Pa Saikou Suwareh taking away one Sony Ericsson mobile phone valued at D1,500 and a cash amount of D1,000.

The duo pleaded not guilty to the charged preffered against them.
 Magistrate Mbacke granted the men bail in the sum of D10,000 and two Gambian sureties with landed property equal to the amount. The sureties must also surrender their titled deeds to the Court Registrar.
