My beef with S/K West Committee

africa » gambia
Tuesday, July 08, 2008
Editor,

Please, allow me space to express my disapproval with the manner in which the authorities in of the Serrekunda West Committee are running the sporting affairs of that region.

It so happened that they have been collecting D2,000 from each team, which gives them an approximate amount of D64,000 if all the teams have paid.

So they are supposed to organise the pitch to an acceptably comfortable standard. I don't think it is fair to collect such a huge amount of money without making any development stride.

For instance, there are no proper balls. This is indeed an embarrassing situation.
