Wednesday, August 27, 2008
At least 117 students graduated, last Friday, from the Gambia Hotel School (GHS).

The graduates have undergone training that not only prepares them for effective hotel management, but also provides them the opportunity to contribute to the development of the tourism sector.

In her keynote address, Hon Nancy Njie, the secretary of state for Tourism and Culture, highlighted the need for sustainbility in the tourism sector and called on the graduates to play their role. She then hailed the management of the school for their hard work and dedication.

For his part, David Joof, principal of the school, assured the gathering that the management is working hard to transform the school into a world class centre that would be a source of pride to all Gambians. He thanked Hon.Nancy Njie on behalf of the school for her co-operation and continued support to the school and also called on other personalities to emulate her.
