The ongoing Zimba case presided over by Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates Court is still in limbo.

When the case was called, on Tuesday, the police prosecutor, Inspector Saine, applied for an adjournment, saying the case file was sent to the Attorney General's Chambers.

Lawyer Lamin Jobarteh, one of the defense counsel for the accused persons, objected to the application of the prosecutor.

Lawyer Jobarteh applied for the court to discharge his clients. He said: "I urge this honourable court to discharge the accused persons and they should be freed from police arrest."

In her ruling, Senior Magistrate Camara said the prosecution should endeavour to take the urgency of the case into consideration and be serious about it.

She told the prosecutor to endeavour  to proceed on the next adjournment date and then adjourned the case to August 8.

The four accused persons, Mohammed Faal, Alieu Faal, Ebrima Sanyang and Doudou Jawla, were  alleged to have  jointly murdered one Ebrima Morrow Ndure at Bundung Muritanie on July 26, during a Zimba cultural performance.
