6 arraigned for common assault

Six men: Ousman Darboe, Kebba Ceesay, Basiru Sanneh, Famara Camara, Alagie Jagne and Ensa Nyassi were on Thursday, arraigned before Abdoulie Mbake, the senior magistrate of Kanifing Magistrate Court, charged with assault.

According to the particular of the offence, the six accused persons, on 23rd of February 2009, had jointly beaten one Ronaldo Delgreco at Sun Beach Bakau, thereby causing him injury at his nose. When the charge sheet was read to them, they all pleaded not guilty. They were granted bail in the sum of D500 with Gambian surety each. The case was adjourned to 16th March 2009.
