6 Nigerians charged with kidnapping, others

The six Nigerians, who were paraded on national television last Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping one Justin Liebig, an Australian, were last Thursday, arraigned before the Bundung Magistrate Court presided over by Magistrate Kumba Sillah- Camara.

The six alleged- Joseph Okeke, Nanso Mbason, Onuwa Ibaim,Nonso Odowa, Arinze Izuchukwu, Pius Patrick,  Awa Touray, a Gambian lady as their counterpart, arrived in court under a heavy paramilitary escort. They were charged with 11 criminal counts ranging from kidnapping, abduction, stealing and conspiracy among other things. When the charges were read to them, they all pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned to 19 February 2009.
