One Pa Alagie Touray, a bus conductor, was on Tuesday arraigned before Senior Magistrate BO Jobe of the Bundung Magistrates' court on charges of stealing.

Giving his testimony, the driver of the said bus, Abdoulie Njie Manneh, told the court that on the 28th of July 2008, while driving from Tabokoto to Banjul, he saw the conductor collecting money from passengers without issuing tickets to them. He added that when he raised the issue with the accused, he told him that the tickets were finished.

According to him, upon their arrival at the office, he reported the matter to the manager, who then searched the accused's bag and found D675.
According to him, the matter was then reported to the Kotu Police Station.
