Hawks United coach Sang Ndong was glad that his Red Devils side landed the three points, but could not hide his frustration at what he described as  his side's 'wastefulness' against Real de Banjul.

Hawks bounced of from their weekend 0-1 defeat by Armed Forces to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win over their capital neighbours in the week four fixtures of the Gambia Football Association First Division League last evening at the Independence Stadium. A first-half brace from forward Lamin Sarr meant striker Alasana Jarra's 75th minute goal was only a consolation for the struggling Real de Banjul side. Hawks could have even won the game by a wide margin if they had capitalized on their numerous chances.

"I am happy with our performance, but of course there was room to score more goals," Sang Ndong told Observer Sports in a post-match interview. "I said we didn't deserve to win against Armed in the weekend because we didn't play the ball, but today we played a good game and created lot of the chances." "My only regret was that we didn't take on our chances, but I am pleased that we secured the maximum points for a change," concluded the former Scorpions coach.
