Digital watch: Great news for Gambian mobile users

Wednesday, April 08, 2009
As the Easter festivities approach, Gambians have more to celebrate than the upcoming holidays.

The rates for phone calls are expected to get cheaper, according to information reaching the Digital Watch desk. In October 2008, many of us celebrated when the interconnection rates were brought down to D1, thanks to the intervention of Pura and the Department of State for Communication, Information, and Information Technology.

The second phase of that process starts today, April 8, 2009. From this day on, the interconnection rate between all operates is pegged at D0.50. That is surely good news and one that should definitely brighten all our Easters.
Keep talking!
