One Amadou Kogo Sowe was on Tuesday brought before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh for possession of and attempting to sell fake gold dust.

According to the charge sheet, Amadou, in July 2008 at Bambo, Serekunda, was caught attempting to sell 24.006kg of fake gold dust to one Muhammed Banyomi. knowing that the said gold dust was a fake one.

The accused pleaded not guilty, noting that he does not own the gold dust. The case was adjourned to Wednesday 11th February 2009 for the accused to open his defence.
