Fresh rumours surround Njogu Demba's future

africa » gambia
Thursday, January 15, 2009
With the January transfer window in full swing, players continue to be linked with moves away from their clubs.

And there are fresh doubts about the future of Gambian international Njogu Demba being reported in the Norwegian press. The Norwegian press has long being linking Demba with a move away from Brann to Denmark but any move is yet to be done. And if the recent rumours coming out from Bergen are anything to go by, the striker could finally be on his way back to Denmark but not to former club Esbjerg.

According to the Bergen Tidende, Demba could be involved in a swap deal with OB Odense striker David Nielsen. Nielsen has fallen out with the team third on the Danish Super league table and the player has now claimed at the weekend that a move to the Brann Stadion is tempting according to the paper.

"I played in England and Germany and now a move to Brann is really tempting" bt caught him saying. And according to rumours in the Bergen Journal at the weekend, OB has suggested that David Nielsen could be used as a part payment for the Gambian. The Danish outfit is thought to be keen on bringing in Demba to boost their attack in their quest to dislodge Ous Jallow and Brondby at the summit of the table.

OB currently trailed table toppers Brondby by four points at the half way stage from the league.
