The Kuntaur Area Council (KAC) last Monday handed over a cheque amounting to thirty-five thousand dalasi to the governor of the Central River Region, Alhagie Ganyie Touray as contribution to the NAYCONF 2008 currently underway in Farafenni.

Handing over the cheque, Kebba Drammeh, the chief executive officer of the Kuntaur Area Council, expressed his council's readiness to support any youth activity in this country.  He called on the youth leaders to sensitise their fellow youths on the dangers of drug and illegal migration.

The chairman Kuntaur Area Council, Mamat Mbye said his council has always been supportive of youth activities particularly in the areas of sports, education and other social activities.

Receiving the cheque, Alhagie Ganyie Touray, governor of the Central River Region commended Kuntaur Area Council for the laudable gesture.  He said the donation is timely and will contribute immensely towards supporting the feeding of the participants during the event.
