The Brikama Magistrate Court, presided over by Principal Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh, yesterday, acquitted and discharged one Musa Keita for stealing materials worth D18000.

According to the charge sheet, Keita stole materials from his employer claiming that he did that because his boss failed to pay his salary for five months. The stolen materials, according to the police prosecutor, Sergeant Jammeh, have been recovered, except for two packets of tiles.

The accused person who pleaded guilty in his mitigation appealed for forgiveness, saying he was prepared to forgo his five months salary. He was then acquitted and discharged.
