Samger ease past Real

Sunday, March 01, 2009
Super Cup champions Samger continue their good run of form in the league with a convincing 2-0 win over Real de Banjul on Saturday.

The weekend's victory was Samger's second win in three matches. After beating Wallidan in the Super Cup final, Samger were left disappointed after Bakau United forced them a goalless draw in the league opener.

But a narrow 1-0 win over struggling Armed Forces in the week two fixture restored some level of confidence in Academy boys' camp, and the 2-0 win over the 2007 league champions on Saturday, which sent Samger to the joint-top only went to signal that coach Jane Joof's boys are again back on their feet.
