Woman ordered to pay D5,150

africa » gambia » kanifing
Monday, March 23, 2009
Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, on Friday, ordered a defendant, Ramou Jagne, to pay the sum of D5,150 to one Ousman Jallow, being the cost of furniture given to the defendant by the plaintiff.

The defendant had accepted liability. According to the particulars of the claim, the plaintiff, Ousman Jallow, had supplied furniture to the defendant valued at D5150 on credit basis. However, despite several demands for payments, the defendant had refused to pay, leading to plaintiff's suing her.

After admitting liability, the defendant told the court that she will pay the amount within two months.
