YOUNG OBSERVER: The New Times: Barack Obama

africa » gambia
Monday, January 26, 2009
The new times have come
The old times are gone and abandoned
To the doldrums of darkness
To remain there forever

Barack Obama rules America
Indeed he rules the world
The Americans, the Europeans, the Africans
The Russians, the Asians and Australians

His rule to end poverty and hatred
Wars and rumours of wars
Feeding the poor instead of ravaging them
In the battle fields of days of old

Shall bring love and joy to man
Peace, progress and prosperity
To every nook and croon of the vast
Expanse of our world

Our common heritage
That will be governed by the noble
And the learned that protects the interests of all and sundry

Long live America
Long live Barack Obama
Long live the silent revolution
That has dried all our tears except those of joy.
