10,000 for GCAA thiefWednesday, November 25, 2009 The Principal Magistrate EA Amadi of Brikama Magistrates court, on November 23rd convicted and sentenced one Sedat Camara to pay a fine of D10,000 in default to serve a prison term of 3 years respectively on both two counts of criminal offence filed in by the state. The magistrate’s decision followed the accused person’s own plea of guilt to the offence.He was charged with the criminal offence of store breaking and stealing at The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). The magistrate ordered him to pay a fine of D5,000 on count one, in default to serve 18 months imprisonment, and D1000 on count two, in default to serve 12 months.
