The magistrate’s decision followed the accused person’s own plea of guilt to the offence.He was charged with the criminal offence of store breaking and stealing at The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). 

The magistrate ordered him to pay a fine of D5,000 on count one, in default to serve 18 months imprisonment, and D1000 on count two, in default to serve 12 months. In addition, the accused was ordered to pay a compensation of D4,000 to the GCAA, in default to serve 6 months imprisonment.
