2 convicted for theftWednesday, June 24, 2009 Two youths are to start serving 6 months imprisonment with hard labour, after being found guilty of theft. Bubacarr Jallow and Muhammed Saho, both of Nemakung, were found guilty of shop breaking and stealing by the Brikama Magistrates Court. In his judgment, the presiding magistrate, Pa Harry Jammeh, said that the court would convict the accused based on their own plea of guilt. He said that as first time offenders, the court would sentence them to 6 months imprisonment with hard labour. According to the prosecutor, Sergeant Jammeh, the convicts broke into a tailoring shop belonging to Ebrima Njie and Sulayman Njie of Nemakunku and stole a sewing machine, a radio player with two speakers, a car battery and pieces of cloth.
