2 remanded for conspiracy

Africa » Gambia
Thursday, September 10, 2009
The Kanifing Magistrates Court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake, on Tuesday, remanded two men, Musa Danso and Alieu Badara Jallow.

They were arraigned and charged with conspiracy to commit felony, stealing, and being in possession of stolen items. During the last court sitting, Cadet Inspector Mballow applied for the court not to grant the accused persons bail on the grounds that the second accused Alieu Badara Jallow is facing another criminal trial at the Kanifing Magistrates Court.

The duo were said to have on the 26th of August 2009, at West Field, stolen a mobile phone from the motor vehicle of one Amadou Jallow. They were also found with four other mobiles which were suspected to be stolen properties. The duo denied any wrongdoing.
