The Social Security and  Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) has revealed plans to build houses in the heart of Brusubi, early next year. These houses will feature the very best in the housing market.

This revelation was made in a senior management meeting recently held at their headquarters in Banjul.

Speaking at the meeting, Tumbul Danso, Managing Director of SSHFC, spoke of his desire for quality housing in the environs, noting that, it will add to the aesthetics of Brusubi. He added that the construction of the houses will be contracted to builders with a touch of class and quality finish.

According to him, the houses will be built on prime land,  measuring 15 by 25, 18 by 25, 20 by 25 and 25 by 25. "The bungalows and storey buildings will provide accommodation for 3 bedrooms, 4 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms semi-detach.

The designs of the houses that will be on offer are posted at the offices of the corporation and application forms for the purchase of these houses will be available for sale at the SSHFC as from 1st November, 2007.  Interested buyers will be required to make an initial deposit of 25% of the entire cost and the balance payable over a period of 8 years.

This arrangement will make it possible for buyers to conveniently own houses", he said
For his part, Edward Greyham, Deputy Managing Director, said that "this is indeed a chance for SSHFC to showcase its desire for quality in its housing delivery".

Mr Albert Njie, a potential buyer said the corporation's scheme is timely as it will provide higher quality housing services that's fitting to their corporate image.
