Barbarians incarnate

africa » gambia
Monday, November 12, 2007

Allow me space to express my view on the activities of terrorists and rebels that abound and operate in the contemporary world.

These are barbarians incarnate, for their values, conduct and actions are inhuman and monstrous.
Spreading fear through the murder of innocent people - among them defenseless children, women and elderly people - they seem to pride themselves on their acts as the world sits back and watch with indifference because of stimulated political reasons.

They possess powerful guns and bombs that are capable of causing havoc on society. Often, their victims cannot resist these weapons. The cruelty of their acts can only be compared to the vandalism.

This undesirable, inhuman, negative elements can only be rooted out through  mass global institutional security reforms, as the current global institutions are under decay and have virtually lost their credibility as effective instruments or solutions to major world problems. Therefore, it is important that we urgently review them and make amendments where necessary.

To sum it up, it is my opinion that all factories of armament production should be closed down and their capital relocated to agro-based industries and the health and environment sectors. Once this is done, the world will surely become safe to live in. It can be done. No guns, no war.
