On behalf of the APRC Youth Wing of Kombo North, I would like to extend my hearthfelt appreciation to President Yahya Jammeh for appointing Chief Demba Sanyang of Kombo North as the Paramount Chief of The Gambia.

Mr president, this move has made the people of Kombo North more determined to pursue the principles and ideals of your goverment for the past 13 years.

Kombo North, perhaps the  District with the highest number of votes in the country, has been behind the AFPRC/APRC since the 1996 referandum on the Second Republican Constitution and the subsequent national elections. We are behind you because you stand for truth, progress, justice and development, which are fundamental to the develoment of any nation.

With the appointment of Chief Sanyang as Paramount Chief of the Gambia, we shall join him in making sure that the trust and confidence you bestowed on him is never betrayed; as the saying goes: 'trust is like v irginity and once lost can never be replaced'.

Again, we want to assure you that we will repeat history  in the upcoming Local Goverment Elections by voting overwhelmingly for APRC candiates across Kombo North.
We are also thanking SoS Yankuba Touray and his team for  sensitising us well on the rules and regulations laid down by the APRC for the Local Goverment Elections at a recent meeting held in Brikama Town.
