President Jammeh visits government institutions

His Excellency, Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, President of the Republic of The Gambia on Tuesday 23rd October 2007, made unannounced visits to various state departments, including the Departments of State for Youth and Sports, Local Government and Lands; DOSH, Agriculture, Tourism and Culture, Finance and Economic Affairs, and the Personnel Management Office (PMO).

During the tour, His Excellency, the President of the Republic observed the poor state of the infrastructure and furniture being used by staff. The President also deplored the poor lightening systems and the electrical works throughout the facilities.

At the Department of State for Local Government and Lands, His Excellency, the President observed that the offices are well-maintained and cleaned.

At the PMO, Tourism and Culture Departments of State,  His Excellency, the President and his entourage observed the poor lightening systems and the lack of enough space to accommodate staff members.
