Re: Major Musa Jammeh passes away

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Please allocate a space for me in your widely read medium of communication to express my profound and sincere condolences to the family of the late Musa Jammeh, members of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), the Gambian leader, President Yahya Jammeh, commander in chief of the Gambia Armed Forces as well the entire Gambian people.

The sudden and untimely demise of Major Musa Jammeh is indeed a great loss to the Gambia especially the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF).  The major was a very hardworking and dedicated officer.  He is described by many as an all round office who did not compromise his official duties.  His unshakable qualities earned him the opportunity of being elevated to various ranks within the Armed Forces since his enlistment.

It is said in the Holy Quran that work is part and parcel of worship.  Everyman should live on his or her sweat. He worked tireless towards the development of The Gambia as a nation and humanity at large.  On that note, I wish to seize this opportunity to pray for Allah the Almighty to grant him eternal rest.
May his and other dead servants' souls rest in perfect peace.
