The Jalamang Jammeh Youth Fans Club and Cultural Group, was on Sunday launched at Tallinding Annex Lower Basic School in Ebo Town. 

The launching ceremony also witnessed the distribution of bednets to mothers and vulnerable children.
Speaking on the occasion, Fatou Badjie, President of the fans club said the club members were trained by the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) on bednet dipping. She thanked Momodou Turo Darboe, father of the fans club and cultural group, Fabakary Tombong Jatta, Majority leader of the National Assembly and Hon Borry Colley, NAM for Foni Jarrol for their support.

Launching the fans club and cultural group, Momodou Turo Darboe, father of the club assured them of his support at all times. He advised them to continue with their bednet dipping campaign and "set settal" exercise.
Mr Darboe also called on the fans club and cultural group to give more support to President Yahya Jammeh.

Hon. Haddy Nyang Jagne, National Assembly Member for Jeshwang constituency described their work as a move in the right direction and urged others to emulate them. According to Hon. Jagne, Gambian women are already empowered by President Yahya Jammeh, adding that, it is clearly manifested by the appointment of women to key government positions.

Alasana Jobe of the National Malaria Control Programme described health as important in national development. He urged them to fight against  malaria, and assured them of his office's support at all times.
NMCP also gave 200 bednets to the group for distribution.
