Procrastination arrests growth and progressFriday, November 09, 2007
Procrastination is a chronic disease that cripples the indolent to be sluggish and negligent.
But this does not usually work. Each focus on yesterday's unfulfilled tasks shifts concentrations on today's work and creates more problems for tomorrow. Procrastination may have good intentions, good plans and great goals. Progress however eludes them because they lack the discipline to take actions on their plans. They rather take delights in postponing actions on their plans to a more convenient time. One major problem that keeps an average student in the zone of mediocrity is procrastination. Each time you delay actions on your works, you distract your attention from progress. You've got a tough war against procrastination in your life. Every student who aims at success must be diligent enough to take prompt actions on his work. Any temptation to unduly relax and be at ease instead of laboring for success is the enemy's strategy to wreck your progress. Do not shift till tomorrow what you can do today. Delayed actions distract attention and destroy achievements. Take prompt actions on your drawn timetable, set goals, academic activities and assign domestic duties (e.g. sweeping, washing, cooking, etc). Pushing your work to a later time paralyses your progress and future prospect. Wage war against every trace of procrastination in your career. Author: by- Pansaw Nyassi | Media Actions |
