The Week One fixtures in the ongoing Kanifing Municipality pre-season football tournament wrapped up on Saturday, with Steve Biko impressing most in Group B.

The embattled Bakau side made it two wins in two matches to settle on top of their group on six points.

Biko thrashed SK East United 4-0 in the opening match, before fetching a narrow 1-0 win against Bakau United on Saturday. The defeat was Bakau United's second setback having lost 2-0 to the Division One newcomers, Samger in the opening tie
.
In another group B match, Nema United salvaged a goalless draw against Samger to keep their hopes of reaching the last four.

Africell-Sait Matty are currently the Group A kings having garnered 4 points in two fixtures. The Africell sponsored side drew goalless with Brikama United in their opening tie before getting away with a 1-0 win against Tallinding United on Saturday.

Brikama United remain the second-best in the group on two points, whilst Tallinding United and Kaira Silo remain at the bottom on one point apiece.

Matches will resume on Wednesday, January 23, with Ham Ham taking on Kaira Silo at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium - the same day SK East lock horns with Nema United at the East Mini-stadium. Thursday's fixtures have been shifted to February 2.

The clubs are using the pre-season tournament as warm-up to the 2008 league season which is due to commence in February.
