Commonwealth Diploma in Youth Development Work

Applications are invited from candidates for admission into the Diploma in Youth Development Work.

Target Group: The Diploma in Youth Development Work is designed to provide youth workers (engaged either in paid or unpaid youth work) with an underpinning knowledge on which to base their work with young people and understanding of values and ethics of the

profession, grounded in the values and principles of the Commonwealth; and the practical skills to undertake the work.

Content: The CYP Diploma consist of a minimum of thirteen (13) modules which covers topics such as enterprise and economic

development, youth policy, gender, health, project management, the environment and sustainable development, conflict resolution and commonwealth values.

Duration: The programme will run for 1 year 6 months beginning early March 2008.

Deadline: Deadline for applications is 12th February, 2008.
