APRC top local govt election nomination list

In accordance with section 52 of Decree 78 of 1996, the Independent Electoral Commission revealed, at the close of nominations on Saturday, that the APRC and  nominated candidates for the positions of mayor for the Banjul and KMC.

Nominations for 114 candidates for the post of councillors were duly received and accepted from the APRC. The UDP nominated 29 candidates for the office of councillor. Four candidates for the office of councillor were received and accepted from NADD.

Eleven candidates for the office of councillor were received and accepted from NRP.

Finally 21 independent candidates vying for councilorship were received and accepted .
