'Unruly' man docked for impregnating juvenile

africa » gambia » bundung
Friday, October 10, 2008

Abdoulie Boye, a youngster in his early 30s was last Tuesday arraigned before Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara of the Bundung Magistrate Court, charged with impregnating an underage girl and criminal trespass.

According to the mother of the young girl, Christine Mendy, she brought the accused to court due to what she described as his unruly behaviour and lack of respect for her and her family. The old woman argued that Mr Boye frequented her compound and often insulted her and her disabled husband.

Abdoulie Boye denied the charges saying "am not guilty and I totally disagree with all that the plaintiff said".

The acting principal magistrate at that juncture adjourned the case to October 13th.
