Former College staff trial adjourned

Africa » Gambia
Friday, October 17, 2008

The ongoing criminal trial involving Lamin BT Sanyang and Abdoulie Baldeh, former lecturers of the Gambia College, was yesterday adjourned to November 10.

This followed an application made by the police prosecutor, Cadet Inspector Keita, for an adjournment on the basis that the witness who should testify in the case, Alieu Badara Senghore, the principal of the Gambia College has a busy schedule.

"Your worship, the said witnessed was present here as early as 9:am. However, he was supposed to attend a meeting at 12 PM and due to the circumstances, we are applying for an adjournment. I apologise to the court for any inconvenience it might cause," he said.
