In Hi-Lite, Baobab legal tussle, witness gives evidence![]() Monday, October 06, 2008 The ongoing legal tussle between Hi-Lite Electrical and the Baobab Holiday Resort, on Monday, got underway at the Kanifing Magistrates Court presided over by Principal Magistrate Buba Jawo. Delivering his evidence before a crowded courtroom Hariram Deswani, a salesman at the Hi-Lite company, located along Kairaba Avenue, revealed that he had earlier on written a letter to the second defendant, Abdoulie Kandeh, who took goods from Hi-Lite on behalf of the Baobab Holiday Resort. In the letter, revealed Deswani, he had demanded payment of the goods. In response to the letter, Deswani affirmed that Mr Abdoule Kandeh had requested him to write a letter indicating the amount owned, to be delivered to Invest Gambia for payment. He continued that he had written the letter as requested and sent it to Invest Gambia but to no avail. A copy of the letter in question was tendered to the court and marked as an exhibit.
