Combative Gambia midfielder Ebrima Sonha has extended his contract with Norway's Sandefjord FC by another three seasons.  The contract extension will tie the hard-tackling Sohna to the Division 1 side until the end of 2011.

"We are very pleased with the player," the club said in statement. "He is young and a fans' favorite; and he's a great ball winner." Sohna has had a huge impact on Sandefjord's promotion drive this season helping the team to third position with only four matches remaining.

Relegated at the end of last season, Sandefjord hold a commanding 8 point-lead over their closest rivals for the third automatic promotion spot and need four points from their remaining matches to punch their promotion ticket to join Tijan Jaiteh and Njogu Demba's Brann in the Tipeligaen.
