Flying Eagles of Nigeria will begin their chase of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup against Togo on November 28.

The Group A match which ironically will be the opening match of the regional showpiece will be played at the Oghara Stadium. The revived matches of the WAFU Cup competition will be staged in four centres across Delta States namely, Oghara, Oleh, Ughelli and Ogwashi- Uku from November 28 - December 9. Nigeria will meet Benin Republic in their second match on November 28 while their last group fixture comes up on December 2 against Guinea Bissau.

The Black Satellites of Ghana will clash with Senegal while The Gambia and Guinea will be involved in a showdown in Group B in Ogwashi - Uku
The Young Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire will test their wits against Burkina Faso in Ughelli in Group B while Mali will open its account against Cape Verde in Oleh.

The quarter finals will be staged in Oghara and Oleh on December 4 while the Semi final is billed for Oghara on December 6. Meanwhile, the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) has dispatched Basic Transport Allowances (BTA) to the 35 FIFA-badge referees designated to handle the matches of the Ibori U-20 Cup.

The BTA letters were sent to the referees by the chairman of the protocol sub-committee Austin Akosa, who will today in Lagos at 11am open negotiations with the management of Afrijet to help airlift players and officials of the 15 countries taking part in the competition from the west coast to Nigeria.
