NIA duo case stalledMonday, November 03, 2008 The case of the two NIA officers charged with giving false information and abuse of office could not proceed last week because the case file was still yet the AG's Chambers, where it had been sent for recommendations. This revelation was made by Superintendent Badjie, OC of the Prosecution Unit, Banjul Police Station, who applied for a further adjournment of the case. Though this did not go down well with the defense counsel, Lamin Camara, who called for a speedy trail as his 'clients have been in detention for a long while', Principal Magistrate Edrisa M'bai of the Banjul Magistrates Court adjourned the case to 12 November 2008. The two accused persons are Demba Sowe and Babucarr Jallow. Author: DO | Media Actions See Also |
