The Njawara agricultural training centre recently inaugurated a new board of directors at a ceremony held at Njawara village in of the North Bank Region presided over by Fafanding Kinteh , head chief of Lower Baddibou on behalf of Edward Seckan governor of North Bank Region. The ten new member board of directors included Saikou Njie as chairman, Marie Sambou vice- chairman, Mamut Touray treasurer, Alhagie Tamba Kinteh assistant treasurer, Badara Jobe secretary, Adelaide Sosseh member, Omar Njie member, Abdoulie Barry member, Njundu Touray member, and Mbee Sonko member.

The head chief Fafanding Kinteh and Sinajo Ceesay will serve as adivisers to the new board.

Fafanding Kinteh speaking on behalf of the governor Edward Seckan applauded the government for providing the enabling environment for civil society organisations and the private sector to register, operate.  According to him, the Gambian leader needs commendation for his visionary and dedication to the development of The Gambia. Chief Kinteh commended the outgoing board members for their hardwork and honesty. He challenge the incoming board members to leave up to expectation.  For his part, NATC director Badara Jobe in his welcoming remark describe the occasion as a landmark in the development of NATC.

According to him, NATC is a charitable non governmental organisation with numerous accomplishment of succesful project following a partnership cooperation agreements with sister organisations, government department as well as the donor community.

Saikou Njie the new board chairman for his part discribe the appointment as a challenge adding that they will work to expectation. He urged for the support and co-operation  all and sundry.

Other speakers included  Alkalo Haddy Panneh, Alhagie Cham a representative from Tango Nandou Touray outgoing chairman and concern unversal representative Nigel Hosford.  Presentation of catificates were awarded to the former and new board members.
