King Mohammed congratulates Jammeh

The Moroccan monarch has congratulated President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh and the Gambian people on the 43rd Independence anniversary of The Gambia, which was celebrated on February 18.

In a message sent to the Gambian leader, King Mohammed IV extended his warmest congratulations, together with his wishes for good health and happiness, to President Jammeh.

King Mohammed prayed for the continued progress and prosperity of the Gambian people under the able leadership of the president.

He used the opportunity to affirm the importance he attaches to the close brotherly relationship and understanding between Banjul and Rabat.

He further expressed his happiness with the fruitful cooperation and effective solidarity between the two countries, as well as matters of common interest.

King Mohammed finally reaffirmed his resolve to continue to work with President Jammeh to further strengthen and expand ties in all areas for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
