Friday, February 08, 2008
The annual basketball tournament that is organised in the memory of the late basketballer, Pa Modou Sarr, is scheduled to commence on Saturday, February 9, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium, Observer Sports can reveal.

Andrew Jatta, member of the organising committee, revealed to Observer Sports that six teams have so far registered for this year's competition.

The six, according to him, are the popular L.K Boys, Vitalait, YMCA, SK East, Old Hands and Bakau.

Pa Modou Sarr - the first head-boy of the Gambia Methodist Academy, was a promising basketballer, who met his untimely death in a car accident in United States of America in February 2004.
