Sait Matty stride -As Hawks draw Biko

Friday, March 28, 2008

Sait Matty-Africell beat Gamtel 1-0 at the Serrekunda East on Wednesday to jump to sixth position on the league table. The solitary goal scored by Lamin Sanneh in the second interval earned Sait Matty their third victory in eight games. In contrast, it was Gamtel's third setback in the domestic league.

Coach Alhaji Sillah led-side continues to struggle with form since the start of the season.

The toothless Gamtel have won only one match (1-0 win against Wallidan), drew four and lost three games as they continue to struggle with form.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Hawks and Steve Biko fought a tooth-and-nail goalless draw at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

The stadium encounter was a fiercely competed bout between two well-matched sides, though Steve Biko were lucky to have walked away with a point.
